With it’s roots deeply imbedded in Nova Scotia and one of Canada’s most recognizable financial institutions, Scotiabank, has confirmed its support of Maritime NHL’er for Kids and has become a Co-Presenting Sponsor.
Scotiabank will also become the title sponsor of the Scotiabank Caddie Kids program, where as many as 130 Pee Wee and Bantam aged boys and girls from the local minor hockey association are integrated fully into the golf tournament in groups of 3 as “caddies’” with teams of business leaders and hockey heroes.
“Hockey matters to Scotiabank because it matters to Canadians,” said Gordon Brost, Scotiabank’s District Vice President for South West Nova Scotia district. “That’s why we are proud to support the Maritime NHL’ers for Kids, as it aligns to Scotiabank’s commitment to helping young people reach their infinite potential both on and off the ice. Earlier this year Scotiabank reached the important milestone of helping to support one million kids and counting through our support of community hockey across Canada. We believe young people are our future leaders and our goal is to help ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources they need to support their success.”
Brost added, “The alliance between Scotiabank and Maritime NHL’ers for Kids is one of the many ways we will deliver on our commitment of helping young people reach their infinite goal.”
